Spin-Tough Class

I have decided to log spin under cycling and estimate we average atleast 18mph. First time for me with new instructor. She was heavy on the intervals and I knew right where the garbage can was if I had to hurl. I need to make sure I eat better in the morning and lighter on the caffeine. When my HR monitor is nearing 200, I know I have over stimulated…….
It should start getting nicer outside starting this weekend and I look forward to running and riding outside. Group rides should start shortly, thanks to daylight savings time.

It was tough sitting on the upright stationary bike for 35 minutes. I did the hill program but never left the saddle. My butt was throbbing after dismount. Starting is always difficult. Back in the pool tomorrow……

Day 3-Run

Scheduled to run 25 minutes. I made it 15 then I walked for 2. Then I ran 3. Walked 1.5. Got pissed and pumped up the treadmill and finished the rest at 7.5mph and finished the last 3.5. I feel good on how I finished. Now I need to work on running the whole way through……..I think I can get to an 8:00/mile pace. That will be a nice uptick from last year.

Back at it…..

Well, I am back at it after a long absence……I am planning on signing up for several events starting in May. Spin Class today that kicked my butt. I am going to be sore for a few weeks until I get a good baseline. I look forward to checkin in on my Sweat365 friends that I haven’t communicated with since fall. Happy Workouts…..

SPIN CLASS

What a workout! I haven’t been to class since the spring. It is getting colder in MN and I will be putting the bike on the trainer shortly. I am wondering if I had some interference or it was a fluke, but I had my max HR at 222. I have never been above 205 before. I will have to research and keep tabs with my HRM. I have been running and biking but have done no swim. I am planning on going to a Total Immersion Swim school in February or March.
